The preparation of the first Russian-language online course on workers' rights in the global economy on the platform inversity.org took place from May to December 2016. Eventually, the long-awaited course was launched on the 1st of March, 2017.

In this unique, interdisciplinary course, that was developed by an international team of experts from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine in collaboration with the Global Labour University and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, we will discuss the meaning of international workers' rights. Furthermore, tools and strategies will be presented here, that can be used to implement those rights. The course is based on a combination of video lectures, reading materials, online resources and interviews with activists and experts in this field.

The course is free of charge for all registered participants. However, for a certified graduation, a fee of 49 Euro will be charged.

For participants who passed 80% or more of the course, but do not have the opportunity to pay the fee for a certified graduation, the Friedrich Ebert foundation, supported by the Global Labour University is able to provide a limited amount of scholarships.

There are several ways towards the scholarship.

For trade unionists
Participants interested in the scholarship must first register free of charge on the training platform iversity.org: iversity.org/en/courses/workers-rights-in-global-economy-USUS, and then send a message to the address: online_russian (at) global-labour-university.org, to apply for a scholarship. This message should indicate the name of the user under which he registered on the iversity platform, his real name, the country and city in which he lives, and a brief summary of his work in the union (or cooperation with trade unions).
Preference will be given to those candidates whose applications will be supported by the trade union organization (or organization supporting the trade union movement). To recommend a candidate, please send a message to: online_russian (at) global-labour-university.org, specifying his name and e-mail address.
After the 3rd week of the course (after 22.03.2017), the recommended participant will be sent a voucher for the certificate. However, such a voucher will be sent only to those participants who will become acquainted with 80% of video materials that are mandatory for viewing during the first three weeks of the course.

For participants not affiliated with trade union activism:
You can apply for a scholarship for a certified course. To do this, please start learning with the audio track and send a message to: online_russian (at) global-labour-university.org, indicating: your user name on iversity.org, your real name, country and city; brief information about you, the extent of your professional activity and how you relate to the issue of social and labor rights.
After sending the application, continue training using the audio track of the course. The scholarship is provided to those students who have passed about 80% of the videos and answered the test questions by the end of the third week of training (March 22, 2017).
Your training results will be checked online. If you meet the above conditions, you will be sent a voucher with the code giving access to the certified track (by early April).
